11 Essential Saree Draping Hacks for the Modern Working Woman
7. Twin-Staple Buttons: Replace Repeated Safety Pins with Snaps

Sew-in snaps give a cleaner, faster hold than fiddly safety pins and feel comfortable all day. Place a small snap at the top corner of the pallu and another near the waistband where the pleats meet the tuck. Use a lightweight, rust-resistant snap set and sew it to the blouse or inner layers, not directly to extremely delicate saree fabric. For pleats that tend to move, add one snap along the edge of the pleat cluster to keep them together. Snaps are discreet and easy to undo if you need to adjust the drape quickly. Keep a spare snap and a tiny tool in your kit for emergency replacements. This approach reduces metal-on-metal noise from pins and keeps the saree silhouette smooth in photos. Once you test snap placement a few times at home, the system becomes second nature before you leave for work.
